Kenny Omega Confirms New AEW: Fight Forever Content Coming Soon

Kenny Omega recently discussed the release of AEW: Fight Forever in an interview with Uproxx. He confirmed the recent rumors of a Stadium Stampede battle royale mode and exciting post-launch content. The game's first round of DLC, included in the "Elite Edition," introduces six additional wrestlers, including Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood, the current AEW World Tag Team Champions. Last week, the game was released on various platforms, including PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox Series X/S and One, Nintendo Switch, and Microsoft Windows.

"I believe that if the game can stand out as something different, something special that people enjoy and find fun, then it's a successful mission," said Omega. "We had to start from scratch and it was challenging to achieve everything we wanted. We can only accomplish what's feasible within the given time and budget constraints."

"This game will always have additions. You've only seen a glimpse, but there are many exciting things I'm looking forward to unveiling," he added. "There's a particular upcoming feature that has been leaked a bit, the Stadium Stampede mode, which I'm incredibly excited about. I think people will have a blast with it. It's something truly unique, and I believe it will be fantastic. We will also be expanding the roster, providing custom parts for creating wrestlers, and more. I can't wait to share further announcements, reveal more of the roster, introduce new match types, and see videos online showcasing how people are enjoying it."

Omega also hinted at the potential inclusion of Ring of Honor and New Japan Pro-Wrestling stars in the future. While Tony Khan's other promotion isn't mentioned at the game's launch, a collaboration with NJPW could enable fans to recreate matches from the Forbidden Door crossover pay-per-views.

Kenny Omega on Post-Launch Patches for Fight Forever

"In my experience playing numerous fighting games and FPS titles, I always advocate for fixes and rebalancing when such situations arise. We are committed to providing ongoing support for the game, so all the feedback and suggestions we receive are greatly appreciated! Thank you!" Omega tweeted this past weekend in response to a question about post-launch support and addressing any bugs or glitches in the game.

Regarding his in-ring performances, Omega recently lost the IWGP United States Championship to Will Ospreay at Forbidden Door. Tonight on Dynamite, he will be back in action, facing Wheeler Yuta from The Blackpool Combat Club.
