The first Slam Dunk anime movie will come out in Japan on February 28, 2024, in different formats like 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray, regular Blu-ray, and DVD for home viewing.
Moreover, there will be special versions of the film available exclusively on The First Slam Dunk's official merchandise website and Toei Video's online store.
The "Special Limited Edition" version comes with extra goodies, like 16 character display cards, two extra video discs, a special booklet, gifts to say "Thank You" given out at the movie's showings in Japan, a smaller version of the movie's flyer, and a charm made from banners used in Japanese theaters.
The special version of the movie will come with all the extra stuff we mentioned earlier, except for the 16 display cards.

The anime movie "The First Slam Dunk" was first shown in Japan on December 3, 2023, and it was also screened in North America by GKIDS on July 28, 2023. The movie did really well in Japan, earning a total of 15.73 billion yen (US$105 million) at the box office. It even won some awards, like the Best Animated Work award at the 46th Japan Academy Film Prize.
