Jey Uso secured a shocking victory over Roman Reigns in the main event tag team match at Saturday's Money in the Bank pay-per-view, marking the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion's first pinfall loss since December 2019. This unexpected win not only propels Uso to the forefront as a contender for Reigns' world title, likely leading to a showdown at SummerSlam, but it also introduces intriguing developments within the ongoing Bloodline storyline involving Jimmy Uso, Solo Sikoa, and Paul Heyman. However, according to reports from inside WrestleVotes, this pivotal moment was nearly altered.
Last week, the WrestleVotes account revealed that WWE had "two drastically different finishes under consideration" for the tag match, although the specifics of the alternative ending remain unclear. Subsequently, on Monday, they disclosed that the WWE Creative team experienced some apprehension about having Reigns suffer a pinfall loss, despite it not resulting in him losing his championship.
"A high-ranking member of the creative team expressed hesitation when devising the finish for the recent Bloodline match. There was a strong argument against having Reigns pinned before losing the title," the account shared.
There was a feeling of trepidation from a high ranking creative member in crafting the finish for this past Saturdays Bloodline match. A strong argument that Reigns shouldn’t be pinned prior to losing the title was present throughout the process.

Roman Reigns on Trial on This Week's WWE SmackDown
The fallout from the thrilling Saturday match will unfold on this week's Friday Night SmackDown at the iconic Madison Square Garden. The Usos have made a bold declaration to resurrect the highly-anticipated "Tribal Court" segment (last witnessed during Sami Zayn's trial in January), with a twist: this time, Roman Reigns will find himself in the defendant's seat.
Taking to Twitter on Monday, The Usos wrote, "This Friday Night at Madison Square Garden, tune in to Smackdown Live as we present The Trial of The Tribal Chief! After all this time, get ready for TRIBAL COURT: THE TRIAL OF ROMAN REIGNS, THE TRIBAL CHIEF!"
Paul Heyman on The Bloodline Civil War
While it's unclear how Reigns feels about this new trial, his advisor and advocate, Paul Heyman, has attempted to downplay the tensions between The Usos and "The Tribal Chief" as mere "growing pains." Heyman elaborated on his perspective in a recent interview with Pat McAfee.
"Look, what we're witnessing here is just a natural part of growth," Heyman stated somewhat dismissively. "The Usos are going through the same kind of growing pains they experienced as children, always playing second fiddle to Roman Reigns. Whether it was on the football field or at home, whether it was about who got the better food for better nutrition to build a stronger body or who could come out on top in their backyard brawls. The Tribal Chief always remained dominant over the twins. It took both of them to bring down one Tribal Chief. I have immense respect and affection for the Usos, for Jey and Jimmy. I truly hope that they can showcase the same greatness they displayed as the greatest tag team champions of all time when they face the wrath of Roman Reigns and Solo at Money in the Bank on July 1 in London. I'm incredibly proud of them for being willing to endure those beatings."
