My Hero Academia x NBA Collab Shares First Look

My Hero Academia is teaming up with TOHO Animation, the National Basketball Association (NBA), NBALAB, HYPERFLY, and Crunchyroll to bring an exciting new collaboration to the world of basketball. The highly popular anime series, My Hero Academia, made waves earlier this year with Season 6, which marked the beginning of the Final Act based on Kohei Horikoshi's original manga. As of now, My Hero Academia Season 7 is in production, further expanding the franchise's influence. Building on this success, My Hero Academia is now venturing into a unique partnership.

TOHO Animation, the NBA, NBALAB, Crunchyroll, and HYPERFLY have announced a joint venture to create a streetwear collection that combines the iconic heroes from My Hero Academia with NBA teams. The first glimpse of this exciting collaboration is set to be unveiled during the NBA Con weekend in Las Vegas (from July 7-9). The collection will be available for purchase during this event, and it features the following NBA teams receiving unique makeovers inspired by My Hero Academia: the Los Angeles Lakers, Golden State Warriors, Chicago Bulls, Boston Celtics, Philadelphia 76ers, New York Knicks, Miami Heat, Dallas Mavericks, and Portland Trail Blazers. My Hero Academia Teams Up With the NBA

HYPERFLY's initial collection, unveiled during NBA Con, showcases the fusion of My Hero Academia's iconic character, All Might, with NBA shirts representing the New York Knicks, Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Lakers, and Chicago Bulls. Following this exclusive preview, a wider range of merchandise including t-shirts, hoodies, and satin jackets will be made available for purchase in the United States and Canada this fall. Fans can look forward to finding these products at the Crunchyroll Store, NBAStore.com, LIDS.com, and HYPERFLY.com, while those in Japan can explore the offerings at NBAStore.jp. Although the full collection's release date has yet to be confirmed, anticipation continues to build.

Rahul Purini, President of Crunchyroll, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration in a press release, stating, "The seamless connection between anime and sports is truly remarkable, and we are thrilled to partner with NBALAB, HYPERFLY, and TOHO Animation to bring the beloved characters from My Hero Academia into the world of basketball. This unique collection will undoubtedly excite both basketball enthusiasts and anime fans alike."
