The upcoming Doga Kobo original anime, "Jellyfish Can't Swim in the Night," has just released a new trailer. This trailer introduces the main characters and reveals that the anime is set to premiere in April 2024. Additionally, they've announced that a manga adaptation by Niko Fujii will start being published in Magazine Pocket in April 2024.
The main voice actors for the show are Miku Itou as Mahiru Kozuki, Rie Takahashi as Kano Yamanouchi, Miyu Tomita as Kiwi Watase, and Miyuri Shimabukuro as Kim-Anouk-Mei Takahashi. The story follows these characters, including an illustrator taking a break, a former idol, a VTuber who claims to be the "strongest," and a mysterious composer who wants to support her favorite person. They come together to form an anonymous artist group called JELEE.
Some new staff members have been announced for "Jellyfish Can't Swim in the Night," and they bring a wealth of talent to the project. Junichirou Taniguchi, known for his work on "OSHI NO KO" and "Magia Record Season 2," will serve as the chief animation director. Akiko Toyota, the character designer for "Girlfriend, Girlfriend," is also taking on the role of chief animation director. Asuka Suzuki, who co-sub-designed characters for "Synduality Noir," joins as another chief animation director.
The team of main animators includes Shinnosuke Oota, who previously worked on "Warlords of Sigrdrifa," as well as Saurabh Singh and Kazuma Nakao, known for their contributions to various anime projects. In addition, Hamunezuko will handle the in-anime illustration drafts, adding a unique artistic touch to the series.
The music for "Jellyfish Can't Swim in the Night" will be composed by Masaru Yokoyama, who has a notable track record, including his work on "Horimiya." With this talented staff, the anime promises to be an exciting and visually appealing project.

The series creator of "Bottom-Tier Tomozaki," Yuuki Yaku, is in charge of the story and scripts.
