Logan Paul Sends Warm Regards to Rey Mysterio Before WWE Crown Jewel

On Saturday, The Maverick means business.

Logan Paul Sends Warm Regards to Rey Mysterio

Logan Paul is very close to winning his first championship in the world of combat sports. The famous social media personality is set to challenge Rey Mysterio for the WWE United States Title at WWE Crown Jewel, and he's seen as the favorite to win. This will be Paul's second chance at a WWE title, as he previously fought in the main event of WWE Crown Jewel 2022 but lost to Roman Reigns, who was the Universal Champion at that time. What makes this upcoming match even more special is that it brings things full circle for Paul. His very first wrestling match was against Rey and Dominik Mysterio in a tag team match at WWE WrestleMania 38.

During a chat on his Impaulsive podcast, Logan Paul confessed that he really likes and respects Rey Mysterio, but he's super eager to grab the WWE United States Championship, and that's more important to him right now.

"I'm going for you bro, you're looking at the future US Champ right here. Unfortunately, I have to take it from Rey Mysterio, the legend, I have to punch him in the face a few times, It sucks. I love Rey Mysterio as a wrestler, and this is what I've been saying, I respect Rey, how can you not? He is one of the greatest, surely the greatest luchador of all time, he just has something I need, Paul said."

When Paul tried to win the top WWE Universal Championship after only his third wrestling match last year, some fans didn't like it. But this time, more people are supporting him. Paul did well in his first match and his solo fight against The Miz at WWE SummerSlam. But he really won over fans with exciting matches against Seth Rollins and Ricochet in 2023.

"I got the bug. I'm doing these things and this comes so much more natural to me than boxing. People tell me I belong here, I actually feel like I belong. I have the opportunity to go after these champions and win these belts, I don't know how many humans get this opportunity, I might have to take this. It's nice when you have something that people are kind of forced to respect you for, Paul reflected on his WWE momentum."

WWE Crown Jewel is happening this Saturday, November 4th, and you can watch it on Peacock.
