The new Blue Exorcist – Shimane Illuminati Saga – anime just dropped a trailer that gives us a sneak peek at its fresh opening theme song, "Eye's Sentry," sung by UVERworld.
UVERworld has already sung the opening songs for the previous Blue Exorcist anime seasons and the theme song for the 2012 movie.
Blue Exorcist: Shimane Illuminati Saga is set to debut in Japan in January 2024. This series is adapted from a manga published by Shueisha and created by Kazue Katou. According to Viz Media, this manga is described as:
"Raised by Father Fujimoto, a famous exorcist, Rin Okumura never knew his real father. One day a fateful argument with Father Fujimoto forces Rin to face a terrible truth—the blood of the demon lord Satan runs in Rin’s veins! Rin swears to defeat Satan, but doing that means entering the mysterious True Cross Academy and becoming an exorcist himself. Can Rin fight demons and keep his infernal bloodline a secret? It won’t be easy, especially when drawing his father’s sword releases the demonic power within him!"
The last two Blue Exorcist anime seasons were made by A-1 Pictures and were shown on TV in 2011 and 2017. The manga series started being published in Jump Square in 2009 and now has 29 book volumes as of July 2023.
