Shonen Jump's popular new series Kagurabachi just received an unexpected mention from the Singapore government.
We really enjoy seeing anime crossovers, and in the past ten years, the anime industry has explored new territory and grown worldwide. Recently, some popular manga have also gained global attention as graphic novel sales have increased. Interestingly, Kagurabachi has become so popular that it caught the attention of the Singapore government.
Yes, it's true. This news surfaced online quite recently. On Facebook, people in Singapore were surprised when the Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment posted a public service announcement inspired by Kagurabachi.

"Our battle against waste will be hard-fought," the tribute reads. "There are several ways to join the right, like arming yourself with a reusable bag the next time you go grocery shopping. Check here for more ways you can combat waste!"
The post shows a cool drawing of a guy doing some grocery shopping, and he looks a lot like the main character from Kagurabachi. Chihiro from the series seems to have inspired this person in Singapore to use a leek like it's a magical sword, and we have to admit, it's pretty awesome.
You might think this drawing is just a coincidence, but it's not. The Singaporean office even used a Kagurabachi hashtag to give credit to the Shonen Jump series. Even though the series only has a few chapters out, it's already getting a lot of attention worldwide.
If you haven't checked out Kagurabachi yet, you can start now. You can read the new series on the Shonen Jump app and Manga Plus. To learn more about the series, you can read the official synopsis of Kagurabachi below:
"Young Chihiro spends his days training under his famous swordsmith father. One day he hopes to become a great sword-maker himself. The goofy father and the serious son--they thought these days would last forever. But suddenly, tragedy strikes. A dark day soaked in blood. Chihiro and his blade now live only for revenge. Epic sword battle action!"
