Matthew Perry from Friends TV show died at 54 on October 28th.
Yesterday, sad news spread that Matthew Perry, the actor famous for his role as Chandler Bing on Friends, has passed away at the age of 54 due to a drowning incident. According to a report from TMZ, he was found at a home in LA when emergency responders were called for a possible heart issue. This comes just a year after Perry released his memoir, "Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing: A Memoir," and a little over two years since the Friends cast reunited for a special on Max. As of now, none of the other five Friends stars have shared statements about Perry's passing, but many friends and fellow actors have expressed their condolences on social media.
Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, and Matt LeBlanc were very close to Perry, so they might be waiting to make public posts. However, other actors who appeared on Friends, like Maggie Wheeler, Paget Brewster, Morgan Fairchild, Kathleen Turner, and Michael Rapaport, have also commented on the actor's sad passing.
"I was proud to play his 'Dad,'" Turner said in a statement to NBC.
Here are more responses to Perry's passing:
I’m heartbroken about the untimely death of my “son”, Matthew Perry. The loss of such a brilliant young actor is a shock. I’m sending love & condolences to his friends & family, especially his dad, John Bennett Perry, who I worked with on Flamingo Road & Falcon Crest. #RIPMatthew pic.twitter.com/QWMsBVJEAr

I’m so very sad to hear about @MatthewPerry. He was lovely to me on Friends and every time I saw him in the decades after. Please read his book. It was his legacy to help. He won’t rest in peace though.. He’s already too busy making everyone laugh up there.
