Xbox Sale Makes One of the Best Backward Compatible 360 Games Just $2.49

A new Xbox sale has made one of the top-rated Xbox 360 games, which is also playable on Xbox One, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X, available for just $2.49. The game typically retails for $10, so this discount represents a significant 75 percent savings. However, this deal is only valid for the next three days as of the time of writing. Additionally, the successor to this game, which is considered one of the best Xbox One games, is also discounted by 75 percent, reducing its price from $20 to $4.99. This deal has the same time limitations, but if you act before July 3, you can take advantage of both offers, acquiring Limbo and Inside for a combined total of $7.50.

For those unfamiliar with these games, both are creations of the Danish studio Playdead. Despite being established in 2006, the studio has released only two games, demonstrating their commitment to meticulous craftsmanship. The quality of their work is evident in the acclaim received by their titles.

The first of these two titles is Limbo, a critically acclaimed puzzle-platformer released in 2010. It made its debut on July 21, 2010, as an Xbox 360 exclusive published by Microsoft. Over the years, Limbo has garnered widespread recognition and is often included in lists of the greatest games of all time. The studio's second game, titled Inside, is considered another masterpiece. Released in 2016, Inside serves as a spiritual successor to Limbo. It initially launched on June 29, 2016, as an Xbox One exclusive, further solidifying the studio's reputation for delivering exceptional gaming experiences.

While Limbo was initially released on Xbox 360, it was made available on Xbox One through backward compatibility in 2014. This means that players can enjoy Limbo on any Xbox console, except for the original Xbox. As for Inside, it is playable on Xbox One, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X through backward compatibility. This allows players to experience Inside's captivating gameplay on various Xbox platforms.
