The Usos Plan to Put Roman Reigns "On Trial" On This Week's WWE SmackDown

Jimmy Uso and Jey Uso have an intriguing plan in store for Roman Reigns on this week's edition of Friday Night SmackDown, which will take place at the iconic Madison Square Garden Arena. Following Jey's remarkable victory over Reigns, marking his first pinfall loss in over three years, at the Money in the Bank pay-per-view, the two Uso brothers took to Twitter to tease their upcoming move. Their tweet read, "This Friday Night at Madison Square Garden, Live on Smackdown, we're bringing The Tribal Chief to trial! It's time for TRIBAL COURT: THE TRIAL OF THE TRIBAL CHIEF ROMAN REIGNS!" As of now, Reigns has yet to respond to this unexpected announcement.

Interestingly, this is not the first time WWE has introduced a "Tribal Court" segment. Previously, The Bloodline held a trial for Sami Zayn during the Raw is XXX special in January. The trial was based on Reigns questioning Zayn's loyalty to the group. In that segment, Jey stood up for Sami, leading to Reigns delivering a "Not Guilty" verdict. However, Zayn would later betray the group at the Royal Rumble when he attempted to save his close friend Kevin Owens.

Paul Heyman on The Bloodline Civil War

While Roman Reigns' response to the upcoming trial remains unknown, his trusted advisor and "Wise Man," Paul Heyman, seems to be downplaying any tension between The Usos and "The Tribal Chief." Heyman addressed the situation in a recent interview with Pat McAfee.

"Look, this is just part of the growth process," Heyman stated somewhat dismissively. "The Usos are now experiencing the same growing pains they encountered as children when they were always in Roman Reigns' shadow. Whether it was on the football field or at home, determining who got the better food for superior nutrition to build a stronger physique, or even settling disputes in the backyard. The Tribal Chief always remained dominant over the twins. Let's not forget, it took both twins to temporarily bring down the Tribal Chief. I hold a great deal of affection for the twins. Jey and Jimmy are beloved to me. I hope they can exhibit the same greatness they displayed as the most exceptional tag team champions in history when they face the beatings from Roman Reigns and Solo at Money in the Bank on July 1 in London. I'm truly proud of them for being willing to endure those beatings."
