New Panty & Stocking Anime Announced
During their panel at Anime Expo 2023, Studio Trigger revealed that the rights to the acclaimed anime series Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt, directed by Hiroyuki Imaishi, had remained with Gainax when Imaishi and others departed to establish Studio Trigger more than a decade ago. Now, after a long wait, Studio Trigger has finally regained the rights to the series. Imaishi will once again take the helm as director for the new Panty & Stocking anime, with an exceptional team confirmed to join him, including Masahiko Otsuka, SUSHIO, Hiromi Wakabayashi, and Shigeto Koyama. As of now, no specific release window or date has been announced for the new anime.
While fans eagerly await the new anime, there is ample time to revisit the exhilarating original Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt series, which is currently available for streaming on Crunchyroll.
