My Hero Academia Admits Ochaco Is Jealous of Toga

Since the start of My Hero Academia, Ochaco Uraraka has been known for her kind and cheerful nature. She has always been there for her friends in Class 1-A and has remained a source of positivity despite the challenges they face. However, like any other teenager, Ochaco also experiences moments of jealousy, and it seems that she has developed a particular envy towards the bloodthirsty villain, Toga.

In the most recent chapter of My Hero Academia, chapter 393, Ochaco's jealousy is revealed as she continues to engage in battle with Toga. While Toga seeks revenge for the death of Twice and is prepared to spill blood, Ochaco genuinely wants to have a conversation. During their exchange, Toga accuses Ochaco of being disgusted by her, just like the rest of society. However, Ochaco quickly dismisses that notion.

Ochaco confesses, "Being able to wholeheartedly express what you love and do it with a genuine smile... Your smile is so perfect that it honestly makes me jealous. Do you understand? I don't want to pretend I've never seen that amazing smile of yours!"

This revelation occurs just before Ochaco undergoes a transformation in the heat of battle, evolving her own quirk. Despite the dangers she faces, Ochaco remains determined to connect with Toga on some level, despite their fundamental differences. Just as she aims to bring smiles to heroes, Ochaco feels a similar desire for Toga. She cannot forgive Toga for her actions, but she is willing to try and save the villain from her self-imposed isolation. With her newfound gravity powers, Ochaco may just have the means to turn the tide in the battle.
