John Cena Posts a Funny Backstage Interaction With Rhea Ripley From WWE's Money in the Bank 2023

John Cena delighted fans on TikTok this week by sharing a lighthearted backstage moment with Rhea Ripley, the reigning WWE Women's World Champion, during the Money in the Bank pay-per-view at The O2 Arena last Saturday. Ripley attended the event as a supporter in Dominik Mysterio's corner for his match against Cody Rhodes (which ended in defeat), while Cena made a surprise appearance to generate excitement for a potential WrestleMania event in London (though its likelihood remains uncertain). Although the video was filmed from a distance, making it impossible to discern their conversation, it is evident that Ripley amusingly disregards any advice Cena tries to offer her. The clip concludes with Cena looking directly into the camera with an expression of incredulity.

Following her memorable interaction with Cena, Ripley went on to successfully defend her championship against Natalya on this week's episode of Monday Night Raw. As for Cena, although he did engage with SmackDown's Grayson Waller during his appearance at the pay-per-view, he is not expected to participate in next week's SummerSlam event in Detroit.

Is WWE's The Judgement Day Splitting Up?

While Rhea Ripley continues to assert her dominance as the reigning champion, the same cannot be said for her alliance known as Judgement Day. This week's episode of Raw concluded with Finn Balor launching a surprise attack on Seth Rollins following his main event bout against Dominik Mysterio, inadvertently thwarting Damian Priest's attempt to cash in his Money in the Bank contract. This can be seen as a form of retaliation for Priest unintentionally interfering in Balor's title match against Rollins at Money in the Bank. As tensions flared, Mysterio and Ripley found themselves caught in the middle of the feud between Balor and Rollins, with their arguments persisting as the show came to a close.

All four individuals involved are scheduled to appear on next week's episode of NXT, where they will respond to a challenge issued by NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes.
