Armored Core 6 Gameplay Revealed in New Video

Bandai Namco and developer FromSoftware have unveiled an extensive gameplay preview of Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon ahead of its upcoming launch in the summer. Following the tremendous success of Elden Ring in the past year, FromSoftware is now returning to the Armored Core series, which they haven't worked on since 2013. Despite the shift in genres and styles, it appears that AC6 will be another exceptional release from the renowned Japanese developer.

The gameplay footage showcased for Armored Core 6 consists of various smaller clips rather than one continuous look at the mech-based action game. These clips highlight the mechanics of traversal, combat, and customization, concluding with a brief glimpse of a boss battle. Since its announcement at the end of 2022, Bandai Namco has kept much of Armored Core 6 under wraps, making this gameplay preview one of the most extensive looks at the game to date.

Despite maintaining a level of secrecy around Armored Core 6, Bandai Namco has revealed that the game is scheduled to launch in just under two months. More precisely, Fires of Rubicon is set to release on August 25, 2023, and will be available on multiple platforms, including PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC.

If you're eager to discover more about what awaits in Armored Core 6, you can find an official game description as follows: "Combining FromSoftware's longstanding expertise in mech games with their signature action gameplay, Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon brings a brand-new action experience to the series.

Players will assume control of their mech in adrenaline-fueled battles that offer fast-paced, omni-directional combat. With expansive stages and the freedom of movement both on land and in the air, victory relies on leveraging these capabilities effectively. Armored Core parts can be customized to cater to a wide range of playstyles. Choosing different parts not only alters the mech's offensive capabilities but also directly influences its mobility and combat style, allowing for a diverse array of mech strategies to tackle each mission.
